Broad Ripple Village Superfest!

The Super Bowl is coming to Indy!  Broad Ripple will be joining in on the festivities by hosting their own Superfest!  So, if you don’t want to battle the downtown traffic, Broad Ripple is a wonderful alternative with its convenient location on the north side of Indy.  Starting on Thursday Feb. 2 and running through Sunday Feb. 5, Broad Ripple village will be hosting their Superfest!  Each night there will be a fun concert beginning with George Clinton and the P Funk on Thursday, Robert Randolph and the Family Band on Friday, and Candlebox will take the stage on Saturday.  The doors open at 6 p.m. and the music starts at 8 p.m.  Tickets are $25 per concert.  Just being in Broad Ripple can be free entertainment!   If the concerts don’t appeal to you then I’m sure with just a short walk from anywhere in Broad Ripple you will find a place that will interest you.

If your looking for a good place to grab a bite to eat there are options a plenty.  A few of my personal favorites are Bazbeaux’s pizza, the Ripple Bagel Deli, Naked Tchopstix, the Corner Wine Bar and the 3 Sister’s Café,

Just off the main strip at 811 E. Westfield Blvd is where you can find some very unique pizza combinations at Bazbeaux’s Pizza.  One of my favorite pizza combinations there is the Bazbeaux special, which is made with fresh basil, garlic, and sun-dried tomatoes.

You can find the Ripple Bagel and Deli on the north side of the strip at 850 Broadripple Ave.  Open till 4 a.m. on the weekends it is a great place to get some late night delicious bagel sandwiches.

If you are a sushi lover like me, it is important that when I decide to spend money for sushi it had better be some of the best!  With confidence I can tell you that Naked Tchopstix, located at 6253 N. College Ave., serves some of the most delicious sushi in the area.  Their Crunch Munch roll and Playboy roll are some of my favorites.  With a wonderful environment and a great menu, all sushi enthusiasts should check it out!

The Corner Wine Bar, located at 6331 Guilford Ave., is a great place to have a nice sit down dinner.  With live music and over 150 fine wines and champagnes plus a deliciously gourmet menu, it’s a good idea to reserve a table for this highly sought after restaurant.

The locally owned 3 Sisters Café, located at 6360 Guilford Ave., offers some delicious and healthy home cooking.  For those of you still holding on to your New Years resolution and even for those of you just looking for some quality and nutritious food, the 3 Sisters Café is a great place to stop by.

There is something for everyone to do in Broad Ripple.  You can take a walk up the Monon trail or the canal, or shop in one of the many specialty shops.  Other entertainment options include a number of clubs and bars that always draw a large crowd.  From the more low key sports bar like Chumley’s, Brothers or Average Joe’s to the upbeat dance club’s like the Vogue, Club Tru, and the Rock Lobster, there is a place for everyone in Broad Ripple!

So here’s the deal…. If you haven’t decided what to do yet for the days surrounding the Super Bowl, then check out Broad Ripple.  With such a unique environment and so many entertainment opportunities, it really is one of the jewels of Indianapolis.
